وَأَنفِقُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تُلْقُوا۟ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى ٱلتَّهْلُكَةِ وَأَحْسِنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
And spend in the way of God, and do not throw yourselves by your own hands into destruction. And do good; truly God loves those who do good. The commentaries take the withholding of spending as one of the ways a people throws itself into ruin, so the two halves of the ayah are one instruction.
اور اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرو، اور اپنے آپ کو اپنے ہاتھوں تباہی میں نہ ڈالو۔ اور احسان کرو؛ بےشک اللہ احسان کرنے والوں سے محبت رکھتا ہے۔ تفاسیر خرچ نہ کرنے کو بھی ان طریقوں میں شمار کرتی ہیں جن سے کوئی قوم خود کو تباہی میں ڈال دیتی ہے، سو اس آیت کے دونوں حصے دراصل ایک ہی ہدایت ہیں۔
