فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُم مَّنَٰسِكَكُمْ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَذِكْرِكُمْ ءَابَآءَكُمْ أَوْ أَشَدَّ ذِكْرًا فَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَٰقٍ
And when you have completed your rites, remember God as you remember your fathers - or with a stronger remembrance. And among the people is one who says, 'Our Lord, give us in this world' - and he has no share in the hereafter. They used to stand and recite their fathers' deeds when the rites were done; the same occasion is kept and the subject of the praise is changed.
پھر جب تم اپنے مناسک پورے کر لو تو اللہ کو یاد کرو جیسے تم اپنے آباؤ اجداد کو یاد کرتے تھے، بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ یاد کرو۔ اور لوگوں میں سے کوئی کہتا ہے 'اے ہمارے رب، ہمیں دنیا میں دے دے' — اور اس کے لیے آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہیں۔ مناسک پورے ہونے کے بعد وہ کھڑے ہو کر اپنے آباء کے کارنامے سنایا کرتے تھے؛ وہی موقع رکھا گیا ہے، صرف تعریف کا موضوع بدل دیا گیا ہے۔
