وَلَا تَنكِحُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ حَتَّىٰ يُؤْمِنَّ وَلَأَمَةٌ مُّؤْمِنَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكَةٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ وَلَا تُنكِحُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّىٰ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ وَلَعَبْدٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ وَٱللَّهُ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيُبَيِّنُ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
And do not marry women who set up partners with God until they believe; a believing slave woman is better than one who sets up partners, even if she pleases you. And do not give in marriage to men who set up partners until they believe; a believing slave is better than one who sets up partners, even if he pleases you. Those call to the Fire, and God calls to the Garden and to forgiveness by His leave; and He makes His signs clear to people, so that they may remember. Both sides of the comparison are given the same shape, and in each the thing that decides is not the standing.
اور شریک ٹھہرانے والی عورتوں سے نکاح نہ کرو جب تک وہ ایمان نہ لے آئیں؛ ایمان والی لونڈی مشرکہ سے بہتر ہے، خواہ وہ تمہیں اچھی لگے۔ اور شریک ٹھہرانے والے مردوں سے نکاح نہ کرو جب تک وہ ایمان نہ لے آئیں؛ ایمان والا غلام مشرک سے بہتر ہے، خواہ وہ تمہیں اچھا لگے۔ یہ لوگ آگ کی طرف بلاتے ہیں، اور اللہ اپنی اجازت سے جنت اور بخشش کی طرف بلاتا ہے، اور اپنی آیتیں لوگوں کے لیے واضح کرتا ہے، تاکہ وہ نصیحت حاصل کریں۔ موازنے کے دونوں پہلوؤں کو ایک ہی شکل دی گئی ہے، اور دونوں میں فیصلہ کن چیز مرتبہ نہیں ہے۔
