لَّا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا كَسَبَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ
God will not hold you to account for what is thoughtless in your oaths, but He will hold you to account for what your hearts have earned. And God is Forgiving, Forbearing. The words that run off the tongue and the intention behind them are separated, and only one of the two is counted.
اللہ تمہیں تمہاری بےاختیار قسموں پر نہیں پکڑتا، لیکن وہ تمہیں اس چیز پر پکڑتا ہے جو تمہارے دلوں نے کمائی۔ اور اللہ بخشنے والا، بردبار ہے۔ زبان سے نکل جانے والے الفاظ اور ان کے پیچھے کی نیت کو الگ الگ کر دیا گیا ہے، اور ان دونوں میں سے صرف ایک کا حساب ہوتا ہے۔
