وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلَا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَٰجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَٰضَوْا۟ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ذَٰلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ مِنكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَزْكَىٰ لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
And when you have divorced women and they have reached their term, do not prevent them from marrying their husbands, if they have agreed between them in fairness. That is an admonition for whoever among you believes in God and the Last Day. That is purer for you and cleaner - and God knows and you do not know. The obstruction being forbidden came from the relatives, over a couple who had already agreed.
اور جب تم عورتوں کو طلاق دے دو اور وہ اپنی مدت کو پہنچ جائیں، تو انہیں اپنے شوہروں سے دوبارہ نکاح کرنے سے مت روکو، جب وہ معروف طریقے سے آپس میں راضی ہوں۔ یہ اس شخص کو نصیحت کی جاتی ہے جو تم میں سے اللہ اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتا ہو۔ یہ تمہارے لیے زیادہ پاکیزہ اور صاف ستھرا ہے۔ اور اللہ جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے۔ جس رکاوٹ سے منع کیا جا رہا ہے وہ رشتہ داروں کی طرف سے آتی تھی، ایک ایسے جوڑے کے معاملے میں جو پہلے ہی راضی ہو چکا تھا۔
