أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمْ وَهُمْ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ ٱلْمَوْتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مُوتُوا۟ ثُمَّ أَحْيَٰهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ
Have you not considered those who went out from their homes in their thousands, in fear of death? And God said to them, 'Die' - then He gave them life. Truly God is full of favour to people, but most people are not thankful. They ran from death and reached it, and what saved them in the end was not the running.
کیا آپ نے ان لوگوں پر غور نہیں کیا جو موت کے ڈر سے اپنے گھروں سے نکلے، اور وہ ہزاروں کی تعداد میں تھے؟ تو اللہ نے ان سے فرمایا 'مر جاؤ'، پھر انہیں زندہ کر دیا۔ بےشک اللہ لوگوں پر بڑا فضل کرنے والا ہے، لیکن اکثر لوگ شکر ادا نہیں کرتے۔ وہ موت سے بھاگے اور اسی تک جا پہنچے، اور آخر میں جس چیز نے انہیں بچایا وہ بھاگنا نہیں تھا۔
