وَمَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمُ ٱبْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ ٱللَّهِ وَتَثْبِيتًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ كَمَثَلِ جَنَّةٍۭ بِرَبْوَةٍ أَصَابَهَا وَابِلٌ فَـَٔاتَتْ أُكُلَهَا ضِعْفَيْنِ فَإِن لَّمْ يُصِبْهَا وَابِلٌ فَطَلٌّ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
And the likeness of those who spend their wealth seeking God's pleasure, and out of a certainty settled in themselves, is that of a garden on high ground: a downpour strikes it and it brings its fruit twofold; and if no downpour reaches it, then a light rain. And God sees what you do. Set against the bare rock, the point is that this one yields whatever the weather does.
اور جو لوگ اپنا مال اللہ کی رضا کی طلب میں اور اپنے دلوں کی مضبوطی کی خاطر خرچ کرتے ہیں، ان کی مثال ایک اونچی زمین پر واقع باغ کی سی ہے: تیز بارش پڑے تو وہ دگنا پھل دے، اور اگر تیز بارش نہ پڑے تو معمولی پھوار ہی کافی ہو۔ اور اللہ جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اسے دیکھتا ہے۔ چکنے پتھر کے مقابلے میں یہاں یہ بات کہی جا رہی ہے کہ یہ باغ موسم جو بھی کرے، پھل دیتا ہی ہے۔
