ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
Those who break the covenant with God after it has been confirmed, and cut apart what God commanded to be joined - kinship among it, and faith - and spread corruption in the earth: those are the losers. What is being described is a single habit of severing, applied to God, to people, and to the land alike.
جو لوگ اللہ کے عہد کو اس کے پختہ ہونے کے بعد توڑ دیتے ہیں، اور جسے جوڑنے کا اللہ نے حکم دیا اسے کاٹ دیتے ہیں — جس میں رشتہ داری اور ایمان دونوں شامل ہیں — اور زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے ہیں: یہی لوگ نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں۔ یہاں دراصل ایک ہی عادت بیان ہو رہی ہے، یعنی کاٹ دینے کی عادت، جو اللہ کے ساتھ بھی ہے، لوگوں کے ساتھ بھی اور زمین کے ساتھ بھی۔
