ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. Each believes in God, and His angels, and His books, and His messengers: we make no distinction between any of His messengers. And they say: we hear and we obey - Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the journey's end. Earlier in this same surah a people answered a covenant with 'we hear and we disobey'; here the sentence is completed the other way.
رسول اس چیز پر ایمان لایا جو اس کے رب کی طرف سے اس پر نازل کی گئی، اور مومن بھی؛ ہر ایک اللہ پر، اس کے فرشتوں پر، اس کی کتابوں پر اور اس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لایا۔ ہم اس کے رسولوں میں سے کسی کے درمیان فرق نہیں کرتے۔ اور وہ کہتے ہیں: ہم نے سنا اور اطاعت کی — اے ہمارے رب، تیری بخشش چاہیے، اور تیری ہی طرف لوٹنا ہے۔ اسی سورت میں پہلے ایک قوم نے عہد کا جواب 'ہم نے سنا اور نافرمانی کی' سے دیا تھا؛ یہاں وہی جملہ الٹی سمت میں مکمل کیا گیا ہے۔
