وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ
They believe in what was sent down to you - the Qur'an - and in what was sent down before you: the Torah, the Gospel and the other books God revealed. And of the hereafter they are certain. The word is not 'they think' or 'they hope' but 'they are sure'.
وہ اس چیز پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں جو آپ پر نازل کی گئی، یعنی قرآن، اور اس پر بھی جو آپ سے پہلے نازل ہوا، یعنی تورات، انجیل اور دیگر کتابیں جو اللہ نے اتاریں۔ اور وہ آخرت پر یقین رکھتے ہیں — یہاں لفظ محض 'گمان' یا 'امید' کا نہیں بلکہ پکے اور جازم یقین کا استعمال ہوا ہے، جس میں شک کا کوئی شائبہ نہیں۔
