وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّىٰ نَرَى ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ
And when you said, 'Moses, we will not believe you until we see God openly' - and the thunderbolt seized you while you were looking on. What they demanded to do with their eyes is what was taken from them while their eyes were open.
اور یاد کرو جب تم نے کہا: 'اے موسیٰ! ہم تیری بات کبھی نہیں مانیں گے جب تک ہم اللہ کو صاف صاف نہ دیکھ لیں' — تو تمہاری آنکھوں کے سامنے ہی بجلی نے تمہیں آ لیا۔ جو چیز انہوں نے اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھنے کا مطالبہ کیا تھا، وہی چیز ان کی کھلی آنکھوں کے سامنے چھین لی گئی۔
