وَظَلَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْغَمَامَ وَأَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَنَّ وَٱلسَّلْوَىٰ كُلُوا۟ مِن طَيِّبَٰتِ مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
And We shaded you with the cloud, and sent down to you the manna and the quails: eat of the good things We have provided you. And they did not wrong Us - it was themselves they were wronging. Food and shade were given without their labour, and the ingratitude cost God nothing and them everything.
اور ہم نے تم پر بادل کا سایہ کیا، اور تم پر من اور سلویٰ اتارا: ان پاکیزہ چیزوں میں سے کھاؤ جو ہم نے تمہیں دیں۔ اور انہوں نے ہم پر ظلم نہیں کیا، بلکہ وہ اپنے آپ ہی پر ظلم کرتے رہے۔ خوراک اور سایہ انہیں بغیر کسی محنت کے دیا گیا، اور ناشکری کی قیمت اللہ کو کچھ نہ لگی، انہیں سب کچھ لگی۔
