فَجَعَلْنَٰهَا نَكَٰلًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَمَا خَلْفَهَا وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
So We made it a deterrent for the generations of that time and those that came after, and a reminder for those who guard themselves. The punishment was made to do work beyond the people it fell on.
سو ہم نے اسے اس زمانے کے لوگوں اور بعد میں آنے والوں کے لیے عبرت بنا دیا، اور متقیوں کے لیے ایک نصیحت۔ سزا کو ان لوگوں سے آگے بھی کام کرنے کے لیے بنایا گیا جن پر وہ نازل ہوئی تھی۔
