فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَشْتَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا كَتَبَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَوَيْلٌ لَّهُم مِّمَّا يَكْسِبُونَ
So woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, 'This is from God,' to sell it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they earn by it. The woe is pronounced twice, once for the forgery and once for the profit.
سو تباہی ہے ان لوگوں کے لیے جو اپنے ہاتھوں سے کتاب لکھتے ہیں، پھر کہتے ہیں 'یہ اللہ کی طرف سے ہے'، تاکہ اس کے بدلے تھوڑی سی قیمت وصول کریں۔ سو ان کے لیے تباہی ہے اس چیز کی وجہ سے جو ان کے ہاتھوں نے لکھا، اور تباہی ہے اس چیز کی وجہ سے جو وہ کماتے ہیں۔ تباہی کا لفظ دو بار دہرایا گیا ہے: ایک جعل سازی کے لیے اور ایک اس سے حاصل ہونے والے نفع کے لیے۔
