يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ
They try to deceive God and those who believe - showing the opposite of the refusal they are hiding, so as to keep the protections of a Muslim in this world. They deceive no one but themselves, and they do not realise it.
وہ اللہ کو اور ایمان والوں کو دھوکہ دینے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں — یعنی اپنے دل میں چھپے ہوئے انکار کے برعکس ظاہر کرتے ہیں، تاکہ دنیا میں مسلمانوں کو حاصل تحفظ اور حرمت باقی رہے۔ حالانکہ وہ اپنے سوا کسی کو دھوکہ نہیں دیتے، اور انہیں اس بات کا شعور بھی نہیں ہے۔
