قَالَ هِىَ عَصَاىَ أَتَوَكَّؤُا۟ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَىٰ غَنَمِى وَلِىَ فِيهَا مَـَٔارِبُ أُخْرَىٰ
He said: it is my staff. I lean on it, and I beat down leaves with it for my sheep, and I have other uses for it. The commentaries note the length of the answer to a question that needed one word, and read it as a man talking on because of who is asking.
موسیٰ نے کہا: یہ میری لاٹھی ہے، میں اس پر ٹیک لگاتا ہوں، اور اس سے اپنی بکریوں کے لیے پتے جھاڑتا ہوں، اور اس میں میرے لیے کئی اور فائدے بھی ہیں۔ تفسیریں بتاتی ہیں کہ ایک لفظ کافی تھا مگر انہوں نے جواب طویل کیا، کیونکہ اللہ سے ہم کلامی کا شوق انہیں بات بڑھانے پر لے آیا۔
