قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّى فِى كِتَٰبٍ لَّا يَضِلُّ رَبِّى وَلَا يَنسَى
He said: knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book. My Lord does not go astray and does not forget. The commentaries note the answer to a question meant to trip him: he does not claim the knowledge, he names who has it.
موسیٰ نے کہا: ان کا علم میرے رب کے پاس ایک کتاب میں ہے، میرا رب نہ چوکتا ہے نہ بھولتا ہے۔ تفسیریں بتاتی ہیں کہ یہ ایک ایسے سوال کا جواب تھا جو موسیٰ کو پھنسانے کے لیے کیا گیا تھا، مگر موسیٰ نے وہ علم اپنے لیے نہیں مانگا، بلکہ بتا دیا کہ یہ علم کس کے پاس ہے۔
