وَأَضَلَّ فِرْعَوْنُ قَوْمَهُۥ وَمَا هَدَىٰ
And Pharaoh led his people astray, and did not guide them. The commentaries note the sentence placed immediately after the drowning: what he had claimed to be for them is measured by where he brought them.
اور فرعون نے اپنی قوم کو گمراہ کیا اور انہیں ہدایت نہ دی۔ تفسیریں بتاتی ہیں کہ یہ جملہ ڈوبنے کے فوراً بعد آیا ہے: جو رہنمائی اس نے ان سے دینے کا دعویٰ کیا تھا، اسے اسی سے ناپا جائے کہ وہ انہیں کہاں لے گیا۔
