قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَآ أَوْزَارًا مِّن زِينَةِ ٱلْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَٰهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّامِرِىُّ
They said: we did not break the promise to you of our own will, but we were made to carry loads of the people's ornaments, so we threw them in — and so did the Sāmirī.
انہوں نے کہا: ہم نے اپنی مرضی سے تم سے کیا وعدہ نہیں توڑا، بلکہ ہم پر قوم کے زیورات کا بوجھ لادا گیا تھا، سو ہم نے انہیں ڈال دیا، اور اسی طرح سامری نے بھی ڈال دیا۔
