قَالَ يَٰهَٰرُونُ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ ضَلُّوٓا۟
He said: Aaron, what stopped you, when you saw them going astray — the commentaries note that Moses turns first to the brother he had asked for, and not to the people.
موسیٰ نے کہا: اے ہارون، جب تم نے دیکھا کہ یہ گمراہ ہو گئے ہیں تو تمہیں کس چیز نے روکا؟ تفسیریں بتاتی ہیں کہ موسیٰ نے سب سے پہلے اپنے اسی بھائی کی طرف رخ کیا جسے انہوں نے اپنا نائب بنایا تھا، نہ کہ قوم کی طرف جو گمراہ ہوئی تھی۔
