بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ
The Day on which people must answer for what they have done has drawn close, and they are living turned away from it, their attention on other things. The address is to those who denied outright that they would ever be raised. What is left of this world is short beside what has already passed, so the reckoning is near whether or not they feel it near.
لوگوں کے اعمال کا حساب لیا جانے والا دن قریب آ چکا ہے، مگر وہ اس سے غافل ہو کر دوسری چیزوں میں مشغول ہیں۔ یہ خطاب ان لوگوں سے ہے جنہوں نے صاف انکار کیا تھا کہ وہ کبھی دوبارہ اٹھائے جائیں گے۔ اس دنیا کا جتنا حصہ باقی رہ گیا ہے وہ گزرے ہوئے حصے کے مقابلے میں بہت تھوڑا ہے، اس لیے حساب کا وقت قریب ہی ہے چاہے وہ اسے قریب محسوس کریں یا نہ کریں۔
