مَآ ءَامَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَآ أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Not one town destroyed before them believed when the signs came to it. So the demand for a sign is not a demand for proof: those who were shown refused all the same.
