وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
And Job, when he called on his Lord: harm has touched me, and You are the most merciful of those who show mercy. He had lost his property and his children, his body was in ruin, and the people had left him. He names the harm and names God's mercy, and asks for nothing beyond that.
اور ایوب کو یاد کیجیے جب انہوں نے اپنے رب کو پکارا: مجھے تکلیف پہنچی ہے، اور تو سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والوں سے بڑھ کر رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ ان کا مال بھی جاتا رہا اور اولاد بھی، ان کا جسم بھی بگڑ چکا تھا، اور لوگ بھی انہیں چھوڑ گئے تھے۔ انہوں نے صرف تکلیف کا نام لیا اور اللہ کی رحمت کا نام لیا، اس سے زیادہ کچھ نہیں مانگا۔
