وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ فِى ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِۦ هُوَ ٱجْتَبَىٰكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ هُوَ سَمَّىٰكُمُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِى هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ فَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ
Strive for God as striving for Him is due, putting into it all the strength you have. He chose you, and He has put nothing in the religion that is beyond bearing. It is the way of your father Abraham. He named you those who submit, before this and in this, so that the Messenger would be a witness over you and you would be witnesses over the people. So establish the prayer, give the zakat, and hold fast to God: He is your patron - and an excellent patron, and an excellent helper.
اللہ کی راہ میں ایسی کوشش کرو جیسی کوشش اس کا حق ہے، اپنی پوری طاقت اس میں لگا دو۔ اس نے تمہیں چن لیا ہے، اور دین میں تم پر کوئی تنگی نہیں رکھی۔ یہ تمہارے باپ ابراہیم کا طریقہ ہے۔ اسی نے تمہارا نام مسلمان رکھا، اس سے پہلے بھی اور اس قرآن میں بھی، تاکہ رسول تم پر گواہ بنے اور تم لوگوں پر گواہ بنو۔ پس نماز قائم کرو، زکوٰۃ دو، اور اللہ کو مضبوطی سے تھام لو: وہی تمہارا کارساز ہے - اور کیا ہی اچھا کارساز اور کیا ہی اچھا مددگار ہے۔
