وَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَآءِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ
The chiefs of his people - those who refused, who denied that there is any meeting in the life to come, and whom God had given ease and plenty in this one - said: this is only a man like you. He eats what you eat and drinks what you drink.
اس کی قوم کے سرداروں نے — جنہوں نے کفر کیا، آخرت میں کسی ملاقات کا انکار کیا، اور جنہیں اللہ نے اسی دنیا میں خوشحالی اور آسائش دے رکھی تھی — کہا: یہ تو بس تم جیسا ہی ایک انسان ہے۔ یہ وہی کچھ کھاتا ہے جو تم کھاتے ہو اور وہی کچھ پیتا ہے جو تم پیتے ہو۔
