وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَآ ءَاتَوا۟ وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَٰجِعُونَ
And who give what they give with their hearts trembling, because they are going back to their Lord. The commentaries agree about what that fear is: not doubt about God, but fear that what they brought will not be accepted and that they fell short in it.
اور وہ لوگ ہیں جو جو کچھ دیتے ہیں دیتے ہیں، مگر ان کے دل کانپ رہے ہوتے ہیں، اس لیے کہ وہ اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹنے والے ہیں۔ مفسرین اس خوف کی وضاحت اس طرح کرتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے بارے میں شک نہیں، بلکہ اس بات کا خوف ہے کہ جو کچھ وہ لے کر آئے ہیں وہ قبول نہ ہو اور اس میں ان سے کوتاہی رہ گئی ہو۔
