وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَٰبٌ يَنطِقُ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
No soul is charged with more than it can carry. The commentaries give the plain cases: whoever cannot pray standing prays sitting, and whoever cannot fast eats. And with God is a record that speaks the truth, and no one is wronged.
کسی جان پر اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ بوجھ نہیں ڈالا جاتا۔ مفسرین اس کی صاف مثالیں دیتے ہیں: جو کھڑے ہو کر نماز نہ پڑھ سکے وہ بیٹھ کر پڑھے، اور جو روزہ نہ رکھ سکے وہ کھا لے۔ اور اللہ کے پاس ایک کتاب ہے جو حق بات کہتی ہے، اور کسی پر ظلم نہیں کیا جائے گا۔
