لَّوْلَآ إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَآ إِفْكٌ مُّبِينٌ
When you heard it, why did the believing men and women not think well of their own people and say outright: this is a plain lie? Faith itself is what should have produced that thought.
تو جب تم نے یہ بہتان سنا تو مومن مردوں اور عورتوں نے اپنے آپ اور اپنے دینی بھائیوں کے بارے میں نیک گمان کیوں نہ کیا اور صاف صاف کیوں نہ کہا کہ یہ تو کھلا جھوٹ ہے؟ خود ایمان ہی تو تھا جسے انہیں یہ نیک گمان دلانا چاہیے تھا۔
