وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And were it not for God's favour to you and His mercy, and that God is kind and merciful, the punishment would have come on you at once. It is said a second time to show the size of what was done.
اور اگر تم پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی، اور یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ اللہ اپنے بندوں پر بہت مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ہے، تو تمہارے اس معاملے میں پڑتے ہی تم پر عذاب جلدی آ جاتا۔ اور یہ آیت دوبارہ اس لیے دہرائی گئی تاکہ اس بہتان میں پڑنے والوں کے گناہ کی سنگینی کو واضح کیا جائے۔
