يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَدْخُلُوا۟ بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّىٰ تَسْتَأْنِسُوا۟ وَتُسَلِّمُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهَا ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
You who believe: do not go into houses that are not your own until you have asked leave and greeted the people in them. The commentaries give the form of it from the practice - peace be upon you, may I come in? That is better for you, so that you keep it in mind.
اے ایمان والو! اپنے گھروں کے سوا دوسرے گھروں میں داخل نہ ہو جب تک ان کے مکینوں سے اجازت نہ لے لو اور انہیں سلام نہ کر لو۔ روایات میں اس کا طریقہ یوں آیا ہے: السلام علیکم، کیا میں اندر آ سکتا ہوں؟ یہ اجازت لینا اور سلام کرنا تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے، تاکہ تم اس ادب کو یاد رکھو۔
