إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَإِذَا كَانُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍ جَامِعٍ لَّمْ يَذْهَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُوهُ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ فَإِذَا ٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَ لِبَعْضِ شَأْنِهِمْ فَأْذَن لِّمَن شِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Those who truly believe are the ones who, when they are with the Messenger on a matter that has gathered them all - the commentaries name the Friday gathering, the festivals, war, and consultation - do not go off until they have asked his leave. Those who ask leave are the ones who believe in God and His Messenger. So when they ask leave for some affair of their own, give leave to whom you will of them, and ask God's forgiveness for them; God is forgiving and merciful.
سچے مومن تو وہی ہیں جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لائے، اور جب وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ کسی ایسے اجتماعی معاملے میں ہوں جو سب مسلمانوں سے متعلق ہو، اور مفسرین نے اس کی مثالوں میں جمعہ، عیدین، جہاد اور مشورہ کا ذکر کیا ہے، تو وہ اس وقت تک نہیں جاتے جب تک آپ سے جانے کی اجازت نہ لے لیں۔ جو لوگ آپ سے اجازت مانگتے ہیں وہی حقیقت میں اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں۔ پس جب وہ اپنے کسی ذاتی کام کے لیے اجازت مانگیں تو ان میں سے جسے چاہیں اجازت دے دیں، اور ان کے لیے اللہ سے بخشش مانگیں، بیشک اللہ ان کے گناہ بخشنے والا اور ان پر رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
