ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقْدِيرًا
To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He has taken no child, and He has no partner in the kingdom. He created everything and set its measure exactly: the commentaries gloss that measuring as the fixing of limits - the term, the provision, how long a thing lasts and when it ends.
اللہ سبحانہ وہ ذات ہے جس کے پاس اکیلے آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہت ہے بغیر کسی شریک کے، اور نہ اس نے مشرکین اور یہود و نصاری کے دعوے کے مطابق اپنے لیے کوئی اولاد بنائی، اور نہ اس کی بادشاہت میں کوئی شریک ہے، اور اس نے ہر چیز کو پیدا کیا اور اس کے لیے ایک باریک اور مضبوط اندازہ مقرر کر دیا۔ مفسرین نے اس اندازے کی تفسیر یہ کی ہے کہ اس سے مراد ہر چیز کی مدت، رزق اور بقا و انتہا کا وقت مقرر کرنا ہے۔
