وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةً وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
And Noah's people: when they called the messengers liars - the commentaries note the plural, since to deny one of them is to deny all of them - they were drowned, and they were left as a sign for people. And a painful punishment is prepared for the wrongdoers.
اور نوح علیہ السلام کی قوم، جب انہوں نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا، اور مفسرین نے واضح کیا ہے کہ ایک رسول کو جھٹلانا دراصل سب رسولوں کو جھٹلانا شمار ہوتا ہے کیونکہ سب دعوت کی بنیاد پر متفق ہیں، تو ہم نے انہیں طوفان میں غرق کر دیا اور انہیں لوگوں کے لیے عبرت کی نشانی بنا دیا، اور ہم نے ظالموں کے لیے آخرت میں دردناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے۔
