إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
He almost turned us away from our gods, they say, if we had not held out against him. They will know, when they see the punishment, which of them was the further off the road.
اور وہ یہ بھی کہتے ہیں کہ یہ نبی تو ہمیں ہمارے معبودوں کی عبادت سے پھیرنے کے قریب پہنچ گیا تھا اگر ہم ضد کے ساتھ اس پر ڈٹے نہ رہتے۔ اور یہ مشرک جب قیامت کے دن عذاب دیکھیں گے تو جان لیں گے کہ ان دونوں میں سے کون سیدھی راہ سے زیادہ بھٹکا ہوا تھا، وہ یا نبی اور ان کے پیروکار۔
