وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا
And when they are told to prostrate to the Compassionate, they say: and what is the Compassionate? Are we to prostrate to whatever you tell us to? And the telling only drives them further off.
اور جب ان مشرکوں سے کہا جاتا کہ رحمن کو سجدہ کرو، تو وہ انکار اور تعجب کے ساتھ کہتے کہ رحمن کیا چیز ہے جسے ہم نہیں جانتے؟ کیا ہم صرف تمہارے کہنے پر سجدہ کر لیں؟ اور یہ حکم انہیں حق سے قریب کرنے کے بجائے مزید دور اور متنفر کر دیتا۔
