إِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًۢا بَعْدَ سُوٓءٍ فَإِنِّى غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Except one who has done wrong, wronging his own soul, and then put good in the place of the evil he did, which is to turn back in repentance. To such a one God is Forgiving and Merciful: He accepts the turning and covers over the fault.
سوائے اس شخص کے جو اپنے آپ پر ظلم کر بیٹھے، پھر اپنی برائی کی جگہ نیکی لے آئے، یعنی سچی توبہ کر لے۔ ایسے شخص کے لیے اللہ بہت بخشنے والا اور نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے، وہ اس کی توبہ قبول کرتا ہے اور اس کی خطا کو ڈھانپ دیتا ہے۔
