وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ عِلْمًا وَقَالَا ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
God gave David and Solomon knowledge: knowledge of judging between people, of the speech of the birds, and more besides. Both of them met the gift with thanks, saying that praise belongs to God, who has favoured us above many of His believing servants.
اللہ نے داؤد اور سلیمان علیہما السلام کو علم عطا کیا، جس میں لوگوں کے درمیان فیصلہ کرنے کا علم اور پرندوں کی بولی سمجھنے کا علم بھی شامل تھا، اور اس کے علاوہ بھی بہت کچھ۔ دونوں نے اس نعمت پر شکر ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا: تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جس نے ہمیں اپنے بہت سے مومن بندوں پر فضیلت بخشی۔
