وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Solomon inherited David. What he inherited was prophethood and knowledge, not wealth and property, and it did not pass to David's other sons. He said: people, we have been taught to understand the speech of the birds and given something of everything. This is a plain favour from God.
سلیمان علیہ السلام داؤد علیہ السلام کے وارث بنے۔ ان کی یہ وراثت نبوت اور علم کی تھی، مال و دولت کی نہیں، اور یہ داؤد کے دوسرے بیٹوں کو نہیں ملی۔ انہوں نے کہا: اے لوگو، ہمیں پرندوں کی بولی سکھائی گئی ہے اور ہمیں ہر چیز میں سے کچھ نہ کچھ عطا کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ اللہ کی طرف سے ایک کھلا فضل ہے۔
