وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًا أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ
God sent to Thamud their brother Salih, one of their own tribe, calling them to worship God alone. At once they became two parties in dispute over religion, one that believed him and one that refused.
اللہ نے ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح علیہ السلام کو بھیجا، جو انہی کی قوم میں سے تھے، وہ انہیں اکیلے اللہ کی عبادت کی دعوت دیتے تھے۔ فوراً وہ دو گروہوں میں بٹ گئے جو دین کے معاملے میں جھگڑنے لگے، ایک گروہ نے ان پر ایمان لایا اور دوسرے نے انکار کر دیا۔
