قَالُوا۟ ٱطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَ قَالَ طَٰٓئِرُكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُونَ
They said: we read you and those with you as a bad omen, for hardship had come upon them and they laid it at his door. He answered that whatever reaches them is with God and from Him. They are a people being put to trial, and the hardship is itself the trial.
انہوں نے کہا: ہم تمہیں اور تمہارے ساتھیوں کو منحوس سمجھتے ہیں، کیونکہ ان پر مصیبت آئی تو انہوں نے اس کا الزام صالح پر رکھ دیا۔ انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ جو کچھ تمہیں پہنچتا ہے وہ اللہ کی طرف سے اور اسی کے پاس ہے۔ تم دراصل آزمائے جانے والی قوم ہو، اور یہی مصیبت خود وہ آزمائش ہے۔
