وَكَانَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ
In the city of Thamud there were nine men whose work was to spread ruin in the land and never to put anything right. The commentaries name acts of disobedience among them, the clipping of coin among these.
ثمود کے شہر میں نو آدمی تھے جن کا کام زمین میں فساد پھیلانا تھا اور کبھی کچھ درست نہ کرنا۔ تفسیروں میں ان کے کاموں میں سکوں کو کترنے جیسی نافرمانیاں بھی گنائی گئی ہیں۔
