أَمَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهْجَةٍ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُنۢبِتُوا۟ شَجَرَهَآ أَءِلَٰهٌ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ يَعْدِلُونَ
Or who created the heavens and the earth and sent water down for you from the sky, and with it made walled gardens of beauty grow? It was never in your power to make their trees grow. The speech turns at that point from He to We, to fix the act on God alone. Is there a god beside God? No, but they are a people who set up equals to Him.
یا وہ کون ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا اور تمہارے لیے آسمان سے پانی اتارا، پھر اس سے خوبصورت باغات اگا دیے؟ تمہارے بس میں تو ان کے درخت اگانا بھی نہیں تھا۔ یہاں کلام کا انداز غائب سے متکلم کی طرف مڑ جاتا ہے تاکہ یہ کام صرف اللہ کے لیے ثابت کیا جائے۔ کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود ہے؟ نہیں، بلکہ یہ ایسے لوگ ہیں جو اس کے برابر دوسروں کو ٹھہراتے ہیں۔
