لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا هَٰذَا نَحْنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
This was promised to us and to our fathers before us, they said, and nothing has come of it. It is nothing but the tales of the ancients, things written down long ago and untrue.
انہوں نے کہا: ہم سے اور ہم سے پہلے ہمارے باپ دادا سے یہ وعدہ کیا جا چکا ہے، مگر اس میں سے کچھ بھی پورا نہیں ہوا۔ یہ تو بس پہلوں کی وہی پرانی کہانیاں ہیں، جو صدیوں پہلے لکھی جا چکی ہیں اور جھوٹی ہیں۔
