فَلَمَّآ أَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَبْطِشَ بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقْتُلَنِى كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۢا بِٱلْأَمْسِ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ
When Moses was about to seize the man who was an enemy to them both, the one who had called for help spoke, taking it that Moses meant to seize him: Moses, do you mean to kill me as you killed a man yesterday? You only want to be overbearing in the land, and not to be one who puts things right.
جب موسیٰ نے اس آدمی کو پکڑنا چاہا جو ان دونوں کا دشمن تھا تو مدد مانگنے والے نے، یہ سمجھ کر کہ موسیٰ اسے پکڑنا چاہتے ہیں، کہا: اے موسیٰ، کیا تم مجھے قتل کرنا چاہتے ہو جیسے کل تم نے ایک آدمی کو قتل کیا تھا؟ تم تو بس یہ چاہتے ہو کہ زمین میں جابر بن جاؤ، اور تم اصلاح کرنے والوں میں سے بننا نہیں چاہتے۔
