فَسَقَىٰ لَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
So he watered their flock for them, then turned aside into the shade and said: my Lord, whatever good You send down to me, I stand in need of it. He had come with nothing, and the commentaries read the good he asked for as the plainest thing there is, food.
چنانچہ انہوں نے ان دونوں کے جانوروں کو پانی پلا دیا، پھر سائے کی طرف ہٹ کر کہا: اے میرے رب، تو جو بھی بھلائی مجھ پر نازل کرے میں اس کا محتاج ہوں۔ وہ کچھ بھی ساتھ لائے بغیر آئے تھے، اور تفسیروں میں یہاں بھلائی سے مراد سب سے سیدھی چیز، یعنی کھانا، لی گئی ہے۔
