وَلَٰكِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَا قُرُونًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْعُمُرُ وَمَا كُنتَ ثَاوِيًا فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ
But God raised up generations after Moses, and the years stretched long over them, until the covenants were forgotten, the reports were altered and the knowledge wore away. And you were not living among the people of Midian, reciting God's signs to them. It is God who kept sending messengers.
بلکہ اللہ نے موسیٰ کے بعد کئی نسلیں پیدا کیں، اور ان پر عمریں طویل ہوتی گئیں یہاں تک کہ عہد بھلا دیے گئے، خبریں بدل گئیں اور علم مٹ گیا۔ اور تم مدین والوں میں رہ کر انہیں اللہ کی آیات نہیں سنا رہے تھے۔ یہ اللہ ہی ہے جو مسلسل رسول بھیجتا رہا۔
