وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا وَلَٰكِن رَّحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ أَتَىٰهُم مِّن نَّذِيرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
And you were not at the side of the Mount when God called out to Moses. But you were sent as a mercy from your Lord, to warn a people to whom no warner had come before you, falling as they did in the gap between you and the prophets before, so that they might take it to heart.
اور تم طور کی جانب موجود نہیں تھے جب اللہ نے موسیٰ کو پکارا۔ لیکن تمہیں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے رحمت بنا کر بھیجا گیا، تاکہ تم ایسی قوم کو خبردار کرو جس کے پاس تم سے پہلے کوئی خبردار کرنے والا نہیں آیا، وہ تم سے پہلے کے نبیوں اور تمہارے درمیان کے وقفے میں پڑ گئے تھے، تاکہ وہ نصیحت حاصل کریں۔
