فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُوتِىَ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ أُوتِىَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ قَالُوا۟ سِحْرَانِ تَظَٰهَرَا وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِكُلٍّ كَٰفِرُونَ
But when the truth came to them from God they said: why has he not been given the like of what Moses was given, the staff and the white hand, or the Book all at once? Did people of the same mind not refuse what Moses was given, long before? They said: two workings of magic that hold each other up, and we refuse them both.
لیکن جب ان کے پاس اللہ کی طرف سے حق آیا تو انہوں نے کہا: اسے وہی کچھ کیوں نہیں دیا گیا جو موسیٰ کو دیا گیا تھا، یعنی لاٹھی اور سفید ہاتھ، یا کتاب ایک ساتھ؟ کیا اسی سوچ کے لوگوں نے پہلے موسیٰ کو دی گئی چیز کا انکار نہیں کیا تھا؟ انہوں نے کہا: دو جادو ہیں جو ایک دوسرے کی تائید کرتے ہیں، اور ہم دونوں کا انکار کرتے ہیں۔
