وَلَمَّآ أَن جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِىٓءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَكَ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ
And when God's messengers came to Lot he was troubled on their account and felt himself powerless to protect them, for they had come in the form of guests and he feared what his people would do. They said: do not fear and do not grieve. We are going to save you and your household, except your wife, who is of those who stay behind.
اور جب فرشتے مہمانوں کی خوبصورت صورت میں لوط علیہ السلام کے پاس آئے، تو ان کے آنے سے وہ پریشان ہوئے اور ان کے بارے میں تنگ دل ہوئے کیونکہ انہیں اپنی قوم سے ڈر تھا جو مہمان مردوں کے ساتھ بدفعلی کا ارادہ رکھتے تھے۔ تو فرشتوں نے کہا کہ ہم پر خوف اور غم نہ کرو، ہم تمہیں اور تمہارے گھر والوں کو بچا لیں گے سوائے تمہاری بیوی کے، وہ ہلاک ہونے والوں کے ساتھ رہ جائے گی۔
