فَإِذَا رَكِبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ إِذَا هُمْ يُشْرِكُونَ
And when they board the ships they call on God, making the call sincerely His alone, for they are in a hardship that no one but He can lift. Then when He brings them safe to land they go straight back to setting up partners with Him.
پھر جب یہ مشرک کشتیوں میں سوار ہوتے ہیں اور ڈوبنے کا خوف ہوتا ہے تو اپنے بتوں کو چھوڑ کر خالص اللہ ہی کو پکارتے ہیں، کیونکہ وہ ایسی مشکل میں ہوتے ہیں جسے اللہ کے سوا کوئی دور نہیں کر سکتا، پھر جب اللہ انہیں بچا کر خشکی تک پہنچا دیتا ہے تو فورا دوبارہ شرک کرنے لگتے ہیں۔
